Universal Life with Long-Term Care Insurance

Change hats for changes in life Insurance needs

Universal Life is insurance an insured person can use during their lifetime to pay the high cost of convalescent care. It also helps protect the family in the event of the death of an insured person. This benefit has the option of adding long-term care protection. The Plan pays—in cash—whenever you need.

The University's Universal Life with long-term care insurance is provided by Trustmark.

How it works

  • You pay for coverage with payroll deductions.
    • Cost does not increase as you age.
  • University employees, spouses and eligible children can be covered.
    • Employee does not need to participate to cover spouse or eligible children.
  • Set your own benefit amount.
  • Life insurance plan pays cash benefits directly to beneficiaries.
  • Use long-term care cash payments for care at home or in a facility.
