Making Mental Health a Priority (EAP Webinar)

May 14, 2020
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
Webinar

There is a growing movement to make talking about mental health a priority, especially in the workplace.

To promote an emotionally and psychologically healthy workplace, everyone needs to recognize signs a colleague is struggling. It’s also important to know how to start a conversation to show concern, and be able to guide someone to support, counseling or immediate intervention.

This webinar will help you learn to recognize signs of distress and possible suicidality, and will teach you steps to guiding someone to professional help, including assistance from the EAP (you can check out the online resources and/or call 888-673-1153 to speak with a representative).

Following this webinar, participants will be better able to:

  • Understand the basics of common mental health conditions and recognize signs of emotional or psychological distress, as well as possible suicidality
  • Create a simple plan of action for starting a conversation and offering appropriate guidance
