COVID-19 Safety Training Reporting
On behalf of the Offices of Research Compliance and Training, and Environmental Health & Safety, we hope that this message reaches you and yours in continued good health.
Thank you for all of your work toward ensuring the safe and smooth ramp-up of research at Columbia; your efforts are greatly appreciated.
As the ramp-up continues, an important requirement for everyone working on campus is to complete online COVID-19 safety training, before returning to their workplace, or as soon as possible for essential personnel. Principal Investigators, supervisors, and departments are responsible for ensuring that their personnel (faculty, staff and students) complete the required training. This email contains important information on how to run reports to monitor compliance with this requirement in your department(s).
In the Rascal Training Center, departmental administrators may run the TC5550 COVID-19 Training Department Report to access a department-specific record of who has completed the training. If you do not have access to the Rascal Training Center reports, your department chair will need to authorize you to obtain this access. More information, including a job aid, is available through the COVID-19 Training FAQs here.
If you have technical questions concerning Rascal, please contact [email protected].
For departmental administrators who need to monitor the COVID-19 Training that is administered through ELM, for the non-Research population, please follow the instructions below:
- If you are designated as an Organization Manager in ELM (for example, if you receive HIPAA training status reports), then you can run ELM reports on demand. Please refer to the ELM Organizational Manager Reports Job Aid for step-by-step instructions on how to run reports.
- If you are not sure if you are set up as an Organization Manager in ELM, please contact [email protected]. Please include your name, UNI and the departments to which you require reporting access.
If you have technical questions concerning ELM, please contact [email protected].
It is critical that everyone returning to campus complete the required training to ensure the health and safety of our community. We thank you for your attention to this important matter.
