CUHR Connection: June 2024
Dear colleagues,
Welcome to the June edition of Your CUHR (Columbia University Human Resources) Connection, designed to provide a snapshot of what Human Resources offers you.
News
- Our next CU Thrive event is tomorrow, Tuesday, June 25 at noon. On the heels of a successful panel discussion on heart health with experts from Columbia University Irving Medical Center, we’ve again engaged Columbia University subject matter experts to discuss financial wellness. Faculty from Columbia’s School of Professional Studies, along with a representative from Optum Financial, Columbia’s Health Savings Account vendor partner, will share guidance and strategies to assess your financial health. Register here to join the event.
- Need to take a break during your workday? Kevin Myers, Columbia’s ergonomist, has created an on-demand stretching and meditation session you can do in fewer than 20 minutes. Watch the video when you need some time to reset.
Your Benefits
- You can now enroll any time in Identity Theft insurance, covering expenses incurred to restore your identity or recover a stolen wallet. This benefit includes 24/7 monitoring of your identity, credit, and bank and investment accounts—sending out alerts when necessary—to take the worry and hassle out of combating identity theft and related fraud. Learn more.
- Are you traveling this summer? The University's Basic Term Life Insurance Plan covers emergency travel assistance for extra peace of mind. Learn more.
