CUHR Connection: November 2024
Dear colleagues,
Welcome to the November edition of Your CUHR (Columbia University Human Resources) Connection, designed to provide a snapshot of what Human Resources offers you.
News
- Benefits Open Enrollment, the annual opportunity each fall to enroll in or make changes to your benefits for the next calendar year, ended on Friday, November 22. Unless you have a qualified life status change, or you are a new hire, your next opportunity to make changes to your benefits will be in the fall of 2025 during the next Open Enrollment period. There are some changes you can make any time during the year, including VRSP contributions, Transit/Parking contributions, and select voluntary benefits, including identity theft protection and auto, home, and pet insurance.
Your Benefits
- As we head toward a new year, challenge yourself and your team to learn a new skill with LinkedIn Learning bite-sized videos and self-guided courses. Take advantage of Columbia University’s subscription to LinkedIn Learning and explore unlimited access to more than 16,000 courses.
- You have until December 31, 2024, to use your remaining 2024 health care and dependent care FSA funds. While you may submit claims for reimbursement through March 31, 2025, all services must be received by December 31, 2024, to be eligible for reimbursement. Keep in mind that you may carry over up to $640 in unused 2024 Healthcare Flexible Spending Account funds to 2025.
