Webinar

Meet Dr. Carissa Schively Slotterback, Dean of the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Pittsburgh and a national leader in public engagement, environmental policy, and interdisciplinary education.

Drawing on her work at the University of Pittsburgh’s "Year of Discourse," Dr. Slotterback will lead a conversation about the critical role of dialogue in academic and professional life. Participants will explore how to create spaces where individuals feel comfortable speaking their minds, listening openly to differing views, and assuming positive intent.

Dialogue here is seen not as debate or persuasion, but as inquiry — fostering multiple perspectives, human connection, and shared understanding.
