Webinar

A strong developmental evaluation does more than document past performance. It uses evidence to guide a focused conversation about an employee's contributions, goals, support needs, and opportunities for continued growth.

In this second workshop in the Developmental Evaluations series, supervisors will learn how to interpret the information they have gathered and use it to shape an evaluation conversation that responds to an employee's performance and development needs. Participants will consider how organizational priorities, employee goals, demonstrated skills, and motivation can inform both the focus of the conversation and the coaching that follows.

Through guided reflection, collaborative discussion, and action planning, attendees will:

  • Identify different developmental approaches based on employee performance
  • Use performance evidence to shape constructive evaluation and coaching conversations
  • Develop a concrete next step for strengthening their evaluation practices
  • Set goals that support their continued growth as supervisors
