HR Reporting
Human Resources reporting provides managers and administrators with access to workforce data that supports day-to-day decision making.
These reports draw on employee, job, payroll, and labor accounting information recorded in Columbia's HR systems, allowing departments to monitor staffing activity, review employment data, and support operational planning.
Most HR reports are delivered through the Human Resources Data Store (HRDS), which consolidates information from multiple HR systems, such as People@Columbia (PAC) and TalentLink.
Data in HRDS is refreshed daily, so reports typically reflect information as of the previous day.
Reporting Roles and Required Training
Access to HR reporting is based on your assigned PAC roles. Refer to the table below for common roles, and review these resources for required training.

Accessing HR Reports
Once reporting roles are granted, HRDS reports are available by logging on to My.Columbia with your UNI and password.
In My.Columbia, there are two pathways to launch the HRDS:
- Click the HR Manager tab > select the "Reports" tab > click the HR Manager Reports link
- Click the Enterprise Reporting tab > click the BI Launch Pad icon

- Description
- Shows all active University positions (vacant or filled) and the names of staff filling any of the positions. Data is sorted by Department, Job Code and Position Number.

- Report is generated annually at the end of the University fiscal year for Departmental Administrators. It is designed to track vacation accrual of employees within an administrator's authorized department(s).

- Summary data for all employees whose appointment end date occurs within three months from the date of the extract's run.

HR Managers can request customized reports by completing the HRIS Report Request Form.
