Dear Colleagues,
Effective January 1, 2026, New York City mandates a $17 per hour minimum wage for hourly employees. We are pleased to share that all required minimum-wage increases will be processed centrally in PAC for current active casual students and hourly employees over the next two weeks. No departmental action is needed to initiate these increases.
Students and employees currently earning above the new minimum will remain at their existing rate.
What You Need To Do
Please review your roster of hourly student casuals and employees as soon as possible. For anyone with a hire or rehire effective on or after January 1, 2026, please ensure the updated minimum rate is reflected on the TBH template, along with any other pay changes your department intends to make.
To ensure changes are processed for the affected pay period, paperwork must be received by the mail-closing date of Monday, January 5, as indicated on the 2025-2026 Payroll Calendars.
