Welcome to the October edition of Your CUHR (Columbia University Human Resources) Connection, designed to provide a snapshot of what Human Resources offers you.
News
- Benefits Open Enrollment is coming soon. From November 2-20, you can review and update your benefits for 2027. Changes made during the enrollment period will take effect on January 1 of the following year. Log in to CUBES and follow the prompts to make any updates. All information about Open Enrollment, including benefits brochures, can be found on the Human Resources website.
- As Columbia Transportation wrote last week, the MTA has announced subway service changes on the 1 line beginning on Saturday, October 24 through the first quarter of 2027 to accommodate rehabilitation work taking place at the 125th Street station. The 137th and 116th Street subway stations will remain open during the week. On weekends, downtown 1 trains will operate express between 137 St–City College and 96 St, bypassing 125 St and several other stations.
Your Benefits
- Open Enrollment information forums begin next week. Register to attend one, or watch the recording after the event on the Human Resources website. You can also register to receive a free health screening at one of three Benefits Expos in November.
- The CU Benefits Bot is now available on the Human Resources website. It is a 24/7 virtual assistant designed to serve as an additional self-service resource for faculty and staff, complementing the existing support channels from Central Human Resources.
