We will all be caregivers at some point, and unfortunately there’s no guidebook for doing so. That’s why we’re providing you and your loved ones with access to Wellthy, a caregiving concierge and digital caregiving support solution, as a covered benefit to all benefits-eligible faculty and staff, beginning April 1.
What is Wellthy?
Wellthy’s care solution pairs Wellthy care experts who take on administrative and logistical tasks on your behalf with a suite of digital tools in the Care Dashboard. It also includes Wellthy Community – a peer-to-peer space for family caregivers to connect and exchange knowledge.
How can Wellthy help?
Wellthy’s solution is designed to meet you wherever you are in your caregiving journey.
- If you’re in the midst of a care situation, start a Care Project to get matched with a Care Coordinator. This expert will get to know your needs, map out priorities, and handle those tricky and time-consuming tasks related to care (researching providers, scheduling appointments, appealing medical bills, vetting aides, e.g.).
- If you’re in the planning stage or don’t have immediate care needs, create an account so it’s there for when you need it, familiarize yourself with the Care Dashboard’s digital tools, and start preparing with Wellthy’s Care Planning tool.
- If you’ve acted as a caregiver in the past or present for a loved one or yourself, join Wellthy Community to connect with others in similar situations.
Who can Wellthy support?
Wellthy is available to help you care for yourself, or any of your loved ones. This means parents, spouses, in-laws, siblings, neighbors, children, or anyone whose care needs are impacting your day-to-day life.
For your aging parents or relatives: Wellthy will coordinate to-dos for daily needs like filling prescriptions and arranging transportation, to the bigger projects ones like moving a loved one into a living facility and end-of-life preparations.
For you or someone you love: Wellthy will design a plan for situations including a new diagnosis, an ongoing health condition, a surgery, a sudden accident, respite care and more.
Next week, you’ll receive an email from Wellthy inviting you to create your account with your preferred email address and a unique password. If prompted, be ready to provide your UNI to verify your eligibility.
