Launch With New Background Check Vendor

The following email was sent to the HR Network on Friday, January 24, 2025.

Dear HR Network Colleague,

As you know, we have been working diligently to integrate our systems with Truescreen, our new background check vendor. I am excited to announce that we are ready to launch as planned on Monday, January 27.

In addition, starting Monday, the initiation of all background checks for administrative and support staff on the Morningside and Manhattanville campuses will be centralized. In preparation for this transition, we have already been in contact with the individuals in your departments and schools who initiate your background checks, as well as those responsible for your billing. If you anticipate a need to initiate a check, please refer to this Job Aid that explains our new process. The process for background checks on the CUIMC campus will remain unchanged. A job aid detailing the process for submitting Protection of Minors checks and all checks that need to be initiated outside of TalentLink will be distributed early next week.

As previously communicated, if you currently have access to HireRight, your access will be terminated at some point on Friday, January 24. Please note that any background check initiated with HireRight prior to Monday, January 27, will still be processed and completed by them. The Background Check Team will keep you posted on the status of those checks.

While all transitions can expect a few bumps, we anticipate that our integration with Truescreen to be relatively smooth. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.
