In January 2019, the CU HRPC team implemented the Foreign National Information System (FNIS), a secure, online international tax compliance software. The first phase—allowing foreign nationals to receive their 1042-S tax form electronically—was a success. 

We are now ready for the second phase: launching FNIS to all new foreign national hires.

Now that we have several ways of processing transactions in PAC, you can use several modules based on the type of transaction you are processing.

Columbia University Human Resources launched a campaign for faculty and staff feeling isolated during the COVID-19 to share their new remote and social-distancing work experiences and offer solidarity with colleagues working on campus.

Beginning Tuesday, April 21, all PAF and other paper HR transactions (like time entry forms) can be submitted through PAC. This new process will replace the process you have been following using either email or SharePoint (CUIMC only). Transactions initiated in PAC will route via the eTerm workflow for approval.

As we finish out our second full week with the majority of our non-essential on-site workforce working remotely, we wanted to take a few minutes to check-in and update you on some of the questions and processes we have been fielding this week.

March 31, 2020 is the deadline to submit 2019 FSA claims to UnitedHealthcare.
