Important Student Loan Update: Payments Resume Starting Sunday, Oct. 1

After more than three years, the student loan payment pause will officially end on Sunday, October 1.

Payments will be due throughout October, and your loan servicer will notify you of your specific due date soon. These notices will arrive via mail or email and will include your payment amount, due date, and other necessary information for returning to repayment in October.

Here are some last-minute steps you can take to make sure you’re prepared when that due date arrives:

1. Confirm your loan servicer and ensure contact information is current at StudentAid.gov.
2. Check your payment amount with your servicer to see how much will be due.
3. Use Savi’s personalized repayment estimator to find options. Consider enrolling in an Income-Driven Repayment plan for an affordable payment if you haven’t already!
