The following email was sent to student casual employees on the Morningside campus on May 15, 2024.
We write to share important information about your work and compensation as Morningside campus access had restrictions in place between April 30 and May 10.
For individuals working in a casual position on the Morningside campus who were unable to perform their duties either in-person or remotely, but would otherwise have worked during the period of April 30 – May 10, the University confirms our commitment to compensate you at your existing pay rate for those scheduled but unworked hours.
If you were scheduled/planned to work between April 30 – May 10, but were unable to do so due to the Morningside campus access restrictions, please complete this pay continuity form. Your submission will be reviewed by the school/department for which you work, as it would for any other timesheet, and then processed through payroll.
If completed by May 22 at 12 noon, most students can expect to see payment in the June 7 paycheck. In certain situations where further review is required or if submissions are received after May 22 (but before June 5), payment may not be issued until the June 21 paycheck.
Please ensure that your direct deposit is up-to-date to ensure ease of access to your paycheck.
Please do not complete this process if any of the following apply:
- You worked your expected hours, either on-site or remotely, and submitted your hours via your normal timesheet process.
- You were not scheduled to work during this time.
- Your department provided you with make-up hours or otherwise compensated you.
- You voluntarily chose not to perform your work duties.
If you have any questions about this announcement, please contact your supervisor.
Thank you.
