The following email was sent to select Officers on Thursday, October 12:

Dear Colleague,

The School at Columbia University has recently determined the Primary Tuition Scholarship (PTS) benefit for the 2023-2024 school year has not been received for your student’s account. Columbia-affiliated families are required to submit an executed PTS-TSC application each year. Please submit your PTS-TSC application to EBPA no later than Wednesday, November 1, 2023.

The following resources are available via our website’s PTS tuition section as a guide to help you prepare and submit your application(s) to EBPA:

• PTS Checklist - The School at Columbia University instructions to submit

• The School at Columbia Enrollment Contract to secure a copy of your TSC Contract

• The School at Columbia Officer Resource to assist with ID and password information

• PTS Policy

• FAQs / Tuition / PTS

As a reminder, the PTS benefit pays 50% of your dependent child’s K-8 tuition at The School at Columbia University, as long as you and your child live within the five boroughs of New York City. A child with two parents eligible for the benefit, hired on or before July 1, 2011, without a break in service, may receive two scholarships simultaneously, covering 100% of the tuition. Please know you must submit one (1) PTS application for each child each school year.

We encourage you to register for the EBPA CU Tuition Tracking System, to enhance your customer service experience and provide online status updates on the processing of your application: In Progress, Pending, or Paid.

Registration requires your Columbia email address and password creation. Your uploaded application will be available on the portal for tracking in 2-3 business days after submission. Once your tuition scholarship benefit has been Paid, the CU Tuition Tracking System provides you an opportunity to view your Explanation of Payment online or save for your records.

EBPA will notify you by email if your PTS application is missing any required information. Please respond as quickly as possible to avoid any processing delays.

If you have questions about the PTS Policy, please call the Columbia Benefits Service Center at 212-851-7000 (9 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday - Friday) or email [email protected]
