Upcoming PAC Enhancements and System Downtime

April 11, 2024

PAC will be unavailable from Friday, April 26 at 5 p.m. to Monday, April 29 at 9 a.m. as part of our periodic system upgrades. This will include changes to the look and feel and some navigation and pages in PAC.

Normal Manager Self-Service (MSS) and Employee Self-Service (ESS) will resume on Monday April 29 at 9 a.m. During the downtime, HR, Finance and Labor Accounting Reports will be available through the Enterprise Reporting Portal.

Please note there will be no impact to paychecks. Both the April 30 semi-monthly and the April 26 bi-weekly paychecks will be received as normal. Employees can view/print their pay advice before the downtime begins on Friday, April 26 at 5 p.m. They will also have access once PAC is restored on Monday, April 29.

What is Changing

  • Visually, you will notice a new color theme throughout the platform.
  • There are enhanced layout and navigation items such as Favorites, Recently Viewed, the NavBar Menu, and Search features.
  • There are two new pages available – Disability Status and Veteran Status – for all PAC users to optionally self-report status, if desired.
  • Template-Based Hires now include Preferred Name fields.
  • The Absence Requests page has been enhanced for departments using TLAM to report time off.

To explore these changes, view the PAC Enhancements Quick Guide for MSS and Central HR Users.

Is there anything I need to do?

No. PAC will save any transactions submitted into workflow before the downtime and they will be available in the updated system.

  • Saved Favorites will transfer but if you have any saved searches in PAC, please note that they will be deleted as part of the system maintenance and interface enhancements. Therefore, please make a note of any saved searches prior to April 26 so that you have the information to re-create those searches on or after April 29.
  • You will need to clear your browser cache before logging into PAC for the first time on or after April 29. Here is guidance for how to clear cache.

Training

When you click on the course links, you will be asked to sign in with your UNI and password. Once on the page, click the blue "Enroll" button next to this module (or “LAUNCH” if you have taken other modules within the course).

All other training items will be updated on a rolling basis converting them to the new look in PAC.
