Effective August 1, 2021, Genworth will no longer accept new applications for Group Long Term Care (LTC) insurance. Faculty and staff currently enrolled in Genworth’s LTC insurance are not impacted by this change. Genworth will continue to service and support all in-force policies.
Eligible faculty and staff interested in Genworth Group LTC insurance can apply for coverage until July 31, 2021. Go to Genworth’s dedicated website to review LTC options and apply online. Genworth will not process any applications received after July 31, 2021. All applications require underwriting.
As a reminder, the University continues to offer Universal Life with Long Term Care Insurance to eligible faculty and staff. This benefit is insured by Trustmark. Enrollment for this Voluntary Benefit begins in November during the Columbia University annual open enrollment period.
